Songwriter's Round 22 @Alexis Bistro, 18th May

It was Friday, I went to Alexis Bistro at Jalan Ampang, walk distance to my old workplace, Citibank. It was Pete Teo's songwriter's round. I saw n heard this guy only through the internet before i met him in person. The showcase was pete teo himself, shanon shah, arif akhir and mei chern.

I stopped at Jelatek LRT station and walk down towards Jalan Ampang, the bistro is at the end of the jalan jelatek (hard to miss, the location was pretty obscene). I was a bit nervous because this place have more crowd compares to NBT on that sunday night. I did psycho myself; "make myself believe that the more you get nervous, the more you get that 'umph' in the performance. The first person I met is the bistro attendant, n we talked nice things

Pete Teo was nice, and nice is good. Same to Ariff Akhir too. They both looks at me like "who the hell is this dude". They are super nice, letting a dude like me to sit down n talk for a moment. I am all about listening to them LIVE. That night I did. I love Pete's song called "Shine" that i think would take some time to master that one, lots of sliding at the start and needs good control over what you are saying on the mic. I believe Ariff Akhir can sing louder and performs more better than that night (dia segan ke, ader awek ke?). I learned that he edits n produced Meor's latest album (purple sound productions). Shanon Shah is friendly, he is pretty, and much pretty with the keys.
